Interview conducted with one of the upcoming artists Mr.Nitin Yogi. We also have his paintings in our Pranjal arts collection. He was interviewed by Pranjulaa Singh in order to know about his likes, his challenges, and his journey in order to become a talented artist in today's competitive time. This interview has covered his work ethics and the way he has impacted and progressed since the upcoming years.

P.S- How would you like to describe your art journey in the art industry?

N.Y-  Since childhood, I had a passion for art.  My journey into the art industry was very interesting, but it's another thing to do it professionally as a job. With my regular studies, I also had to focus on the development of an art career. I was a science student at the JNV- Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Gwalior before starting my career in painting (Madhya Pradesh). I've been a student of biology. My parents initially wanted me to build a career in arts, but then I introduced them to my art mentors, and even my art mentors recommended that I concentrate on the art career. I could even study and even focus on art on a regular basis.

P.S- From the beginning of your art journey till now, how many years have you spent doing paintings, and what different kinds of opportunities came your way while you were staying in Gwalior as an artist?

N.Y- As of now, I have completed 12 years of professionalism in the arts industry. Culturally, Gwalior is very strong from an artist’s point of view. When I was in Gwalior, I explored different places such as the Gujari Mahal, the Museum Sanghrahlaya, the chatri bagh, katara Taal, rajwada, various forts, etc. In order to draw wonderful landscapes, I use the opportunity to explore these beautiful places of natural beauty. As an artist, these places really aroused me because I really wanted to develop my skills in the initial process of becoming an artist, such backgrounds are needed. Overall Gwalior has been excellent in enhancing my progress in the field of art. I personally feel that Gwalior is good for artists to make his or her career worthwhile and successful.

P.S- Which artists inspire you the most at the National and International levels?

N.Y-  Actually, I am not a die-hard fan of any particular artists. Different levels of choices exist. I love Vincent van Gogh's work because I see his passion for art, and it inspires me greatly. I like Picasso seeking his building and experimentation through the perspective of Indian artists. I greatly look up to  M.F. Husain’s artwork for his drawings and lines.

P.S- Any particular process that you would like to follow while painting?

Usually, creating paper painting takes one to three days, whereas creating canvas painting takes 15 to 20 days.

P.S- Do you choose any particular color theme for any particular purpose when painting?

N.Y- Color lines and mediums, in reality, are associated with an artist's behavioral cultural journey, and personal experiences. I focus on fusing all the colors while creating my artwork. It optimizes a gentle approach with pleasant sentiments.

P.S What kind of people have taken interest in your artwork?

N.Y- Common people interact mostly with my artwork. It gives a sweet feeling to them when they look at my artwork. My artwork provides them with a window or a forum to communicate with their lives and experiences.

P.S. What message would you wish to communicate to the next artist's youth?

N.Y- At a level where he himself should be a brand, it is important that an artist should develop his work. I suppose everything is your work, therefore all of your work forms a brand. To develop yourself as a brand, create more work that aligns with you and your personality.
