HISTORY OF PRANJAL ARTS
Pranjulaa Singh is the founder of Pranjal Art, an independent art advisory service, dealing in contemporary art, as well as a poet and yoga teacher based in the UK and India. Furthermore, Pranjal Arts is engaged in further curatorial projects.
Pranjulaa Singh's childhood was firmly rooted in the art world, by the time she left school, Pranjulaa had already hosted her first art exhibition opening at Jehangir Art Gallery in collaboration with the renowned film maker, Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra of the Rang De Basanti fame. Following an undergraduate degree in Management at Mumbai University and a Masters in Creative Industries Management at Birkbeck, University of London, Pranjulaa decided to dedicate her life to art.
It is committed to advising clients on particular purchases as well as assessing individual needs to build their collection. We tailor our services in order to suit the most unique requirements with discretion and confidentiality. We seek out the most innovative artworks through a careful selection and extensive research from galleries, institutions, private art foundations, fairs, biennials, artists’ studios and private collections around the world.
Pranjal Arts has gone on to become a strong and warm network of visual artists across India. It is now a unique and colourful collection of paintings, wall installations and sculptures, available for hotels, architects, interior designers, home decor organisations, and art collectors.
Curatorial Projects of Pranjal Arts
Scindia School Art Camps:
Three consecutive years (2008-2009-2010), artists were invited across the country for a residency at Scindia School, Gwalior to engage the students in the behind-the-scenes of their work.
Holi Gestures:
It was a photography exhibition where photographer Pratik Sharma was promoted at Academy for Photographic Excellence and Art Production, in Delhi. Ace photographer, Amit Ashar was its chief guest.
Organized Exhibition preview at Jehangir Art Gallery:
The famous artist, Prem Singh was highlighted with a wine and cheese party hosted by Pranjal Arts. The chief guest was Rang de Basanti director, Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra and the program was covered by Bombay Times and Mumbai Mirror.
Kritya International Festival of Poetry and Painting:
This festival was a collaboration of artists and poets from across the world, in Mysore. Pranjal Arts was the co-organizer.
