Although Western aesthetics dominate the modern world, there are hundreds of art forms which have originated in South Asia, which have the potential to change the definition of home decor for you.

Persia, which was focused on modern-day Iran, was home to a large empire that existed in three stages. Under Cyrus the Great (550–330 BCE), the Achaemenids created the first Persian Empire, which swiftly extended its frontiers.

When we talk or think about art, the first and most of the time, the singular thing that comes to our mind is painting. The collective perception of equating art with painting has been a norm for centuries. But the world of art was never limited to painting alone.

Fernando Amorsolo y Cueto (May 30, 1892 – April 24, 1972) was one of the most influential painters in Philippine history. Amorsolo was a portrait painter and a landscape painter in the rural Philippines. He was well-known for his attention to detail and mastery in the utilization of light.

Is Art a necessity or a luxury? Do we really need art like we need art, food, and shelter? In order to understand an answer for this, we need to look at the terms, necessity and luxury first. Sikkimese folk music and dances are ingrained in the culture. The majority of tribal dances reflect the harvest season and are performed for good fortune. Sikkim is a unique combination of diverse cultures' customs, religions, and traditions. Sikkim has been occupied by three tribes from ancient times: the Lepchas, the Bhutias, and the Nepalese. Even now, they continue to shape the culture of Sikkim's people.

Art and Meditation have a very healthy relationship. One can create art as a meditation when they are uncle to meditate and they can meditate while creating art. Confused? Let me explain. The conscious mind processes in two ways: Attention and Awareness. When you combine the two, you achieve mindfulness. When one balances the two your mind becomes stronger, more stable, and consequently more relaxed.
